Often known as ‘yoga for the joints,’ Yin Yoga primarily focuses on the joints below the navel and above the knee. Many times these areas become less mobile and agile due to disuse and aging. Using long duration of holds, this yoga concentrates on deeper tissues and joint mobility. The result is  freer, more effective movement.
